M Cab's Value Now

Most Cafe regulars have been looking at him as a first round pick in'06. Now that Delgado, Lowell, Gonzalez, Castillo, and soon to be Pierre and LoDuca, what do you see his value as? Still first round? Who will he drive in. If he hits 40 HRs, that's only 40 RBIs

MCab is an outstanding talent, but he will have no protection this year. He'll still go high, but I'd drop him in my rankings a little. It's going to be rough hitting with that lineup surrounding you.

havnt done my depth sheet yet, but id expect mcab to fall to lower first round. no protection around him, no reason to pitch to him. the best he can get surrounding him would be hanley ramirez, jeremy hermida, and mike jacobs. but if those 3 step up NOW, mcab will get his numbers. i love his pos eligibility too, so he'll still be in the first round for me.

similar to helton this year. I think he was a mid first rounder until all this happend. he is still a first rounder in keeper leagues but probably mid 2nd rd in a redraft. I think it will be a struggle to get 100 rbi and runs!!

In OBP leagues he's still in the middle of the first, but I'm dropping him down to about #9 or 10 in my rankings.

MCab doesn't need protection. I seem to recall taht he didn't have much support two years ago and still did just fine. I wouldn't downgrade him at all.

I love how people think MCab needs protection... He's a superstar. I'd be surprised if he doesn't hit .300+, 40+ HR in 06.
