I'm not sure who you think is making out on the deal. Sounds like an extremely fair trade to me, especially if the guy getting Mora needs someone at one of his positions.

Forget not that Griffey was an all-century player last century.

Fair trade IMHO. Both Griffey and Mora are high-risk players, but Manny has also become an injury risk and (boy, as a Manny owner, do I hate having to say this) due to get hurt any time now ...

Yeah it's just that Manny is on an unbelieveable tear right now. I already have Furcal so Mora SS eligibility is of no real value to me. I don't need Griffey either, although I understand he has a high ceiling.

Fair trade. As stated many times before, trades should not be vetoed because one of the owners is undervaluing his own players while overvaluing others. Trades are only worthy of a veto if there is collusion going on. If this guy is so stupid to be trading away Manny, why didn't you make him an offer?

Not vetoable. I'm going through the same problem in one of my leagues; a guy vetoes anything he doesn't see as completely EVEN in his mind. You have to realize people value players in different ways; career, YTD, potential, etc.

PLUS what looks one way on paper between 2 guys may look totally different when applied to their team as a whole

perhaps you're in a 12 team league and the manny owner is DESPERATE for help at SS

Thanks, I actually offered those two guys for a bunch of OF, can't even remember all of them, but they included Vernon Wells, Garrett Anderson, Andruw Jones. Was hoping one owner would bite, am thrilled it was for Manny
