I know Ron Shandler's book(The Forecaster?) and Prospectus normally come out early around this time but does anyone know when they will be out or if they are out yet?

Personally, Shandler's projections are perfectly acceptable; what's your beef? They're not nearly as systematic as PECOTA, but they certainly appear to be well thought-out and reasoned, having a foundation upon relevant indicators. What really should you ask of a projection system?

Ron has interesting things to base judgement yourself. But for his extremely high prices, his projections are poor.
ANY projection system is going to be off on a good number of players; it's the nature of the beast. This list doesn't (and shouldn't) sway me much one way or the other. (The Sosa prediction is the only really questionable one in the bunch; if anything, the fact that Fuentes, Wickman, and Seo have been trotted out to lengthen the list, speaks to his favor.) What's most important is that the predictions are based upon something demonstrably relevant (and possibly ignored by others), even if it's information that increases the accuracy of one's projections a tiny bit (and that's all that one can really hope for). If you find a prediction system without outliers, you'll be a very wealthy man/woman.
