Konerko to stay with White Sox

ESPN reports on their website, Konerko has agreed to a 5-year 60-mil deal. Sorry, Angels... time to pony-up for Manny...

There is the link.

I think this bumps up Thome in fantasy drafts as it gives him ability to DH full time.

Thome DH, Konerko at 1B. Nice.

Thome and Konerko make for one hell of a small ball lineup. :-D

Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Sweet! Congrats Chicago.

I wouldn't have been pissed if he went to Anaheim, but I just don't see the point for the Angels to add a first baseman.

Good job by the ChiSox. They needed to resign Konerko. They would have drained alot of the positive feeling in Chicago away if they let their premeir player get away.

I don't like Thome at all, but Konerko ensures them a big bat in the middle of that order.

It's interesting to note that the White Sox hit more HR's last year than the Red Sox and nobody says the Red Sox are trying to play small ball.

With Konerko back and the addition of Thome, they should be legit contenders for another run. I'm impressed. Signing Paulie really was crucial.
