Hmmm......pretty interesting. I think if I were the Mets I'd try and put him in a setup role before I dealt him since the pen is still in shambles outside of the 9th inning. Could be worth keeping an eye on though like a lot of borderline closers whose teams are looking to take advantage of the out of whack pitching market right now. ;-D

There's a rumor in Texas that Looper could be setting up for the Rangers. :-o

Please, please don't let that happen. :-o

I'd rather see him somewhere else, but I do agree he can be had real cheap right now in fantasy leagues, and he might be worth a shot just in case he lands a closer gig somewhere. Nice article. ;-D

Even as a closer in Shea I avoided him..
why would I want him in Baltimore or where ever?
Let some other schelp not named Minaya have him

He actually didn't do too badly at Shea. Last year, he was worth somewhere in the neighborhood of $10 in an NL-only 5x5. That's not spectacular, but it's definitely not shabby, either... :-)
