I apologize if I've put this in the wrong forum guys but I figured it was a leftover since I couldn't find one that it fit in.
Has anyone out there had experience in the computer baseball game called "Diamond Mind". It kind of intrigues me and I'm thinking of buying it.

i have diamond. It was nice and useful. But personally i like Out of the Park Baseball better. It is a nice setup and can be used for projecting baseball or fooling around as GM.
Both are good and alot of fun.

They aren't really like say MLB 2005... They are baseball sims. You can use them to project baseball player will do/how they will devolp.
OOTP baseball does have a good AI (for making trades and drafting and other moves.)
In OOTP you can also adjust the era. (example: Juiced era compared the deadball era)

Yes, you can play in a full league against human GMs over the internet. I haven't tried it, but I'm sure it's at least somewhat of a hastle trying to find the right league to join.
Also how much stock is put into the sabermatics. Basically is this game designed with those type of baseball fans in mind.
Some. Not a whole lot. They have clutch ratings afterall. You can choose to play however you want.
also can download current rosters? and if so how accurate is it
I don't think the game has an mlb license so you have to get them from a third party source. I wouldn't really depend on the accuracy but I've heard it can be decent.
