No way you trade him IMHO. You only trade a prospect of Milledge's caliber if you have to and the Mets no longer have to. Having Manny would be awesome but adding a hitter like Manny would be icing. The Mets offense is currently pretty kick-ass and that's before (presumably) the addition of someone like Ramon Hernandez. Pitching help is still available on the FA market and there will probably be trades available involving Trax and maybe Benson that don't require sacrificing Milledge.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
i agree with amazings to a point. I don't like trading prospects unless you have to or you get back a player who is better now than that prospect will ever be. As good as Milledge may be, he will never be as good as Manny is right now. That makes it a no brainer for me. As for Zito, I am probably a little biased I always liked him and he usually ends up on my fantasy teams. he hasn't been great the last couple of years but he pitched real well last year after a shaky start plus he is young and a lefty. Which are always good

does milledge have the arm to play rf? with beltran in cf he wont play there anytime soon so where do u invision him playing on the mets? left, right? i really think there is a good chance he gets traded as much as id like him stay. He is a centerfielder and beltran isnt going anywhere so he wont be playing there, so what would milledges future with the mets be?
He does. Milledge has a rocket for an arm and is extremely accurate. There is some video (I will try and find it) at the pre-draft combine when they were testing OFer arms and it was really impressive.
