Come on, you all have endured too long without one of my Vazquez rants...

Rotoworld:
According to Newsday, Javier Vazquez reportedly has Seattle, Philadelphia, Texas, Baltimore, Toronto and Detroit on the list of teams to which he cannot be traded.
That contradicts previous information in the Arizona Republic that Colorado was on the six-team list. Detroit and Baltimore looked like possible destinations for Vazquez. For someone who badly wants to get back to the East Coast, Vazquez is being picky.

Pretty amazing how a guy this lousy still thinks he can dictate terms like this. Arizona should trade him to the Rox. If nothing else it would be entertaining. So no Yankees, no Mets, no Philly, no Detroit, No Baltimore. I think Vazquez want t go back to Montreal, but does not realize they now play in Washington.

If entertainment is what you wanted, the D-Backs should also trade Russ Ortiz with Vazquez to Colorado. Now that would be one blast-fest.

I find it funny that teams still think that they are getting Javier Vazquez from Montreal. This guy proved over the last two years that he is nowhere near the pitcher he used to be and he is not mentally strong.

I guess he is young enough to bounce back but these are supposed to be his best years. Not his worst.

The latest rumor is Vaz to the Nationals.

I can't think of a better situation for him.

Say what you want about him, but I will still pick him up this year if he is cheap, which I expect that he will be. Even if his ERA is sub-standard he is a great source of Ks, giving him decent value in roto. I had for cheap last year and although disappointed I got value at least equivalant to what I paid.

Washington would be optimal for him since it is so tough to give up an HR there, but I read in CNNSI Truth and Rumors that STL was on the likely list as well.
