Only rule is you can't pick players who have appeared in the Majors (no Prince Feilder or BJ Upton), and you have to make sure they have signed with an MLB team (no Justin Upton)....positions: C, 1B, 2B, SS, 3B, OF, OF, OF, DH, SP, SP, SP, SP , SP, CL

Here's mine:

C: Jarrod Saltalamacchia
1B: Daric Barton
2B: Howie Kendrick
3B: Ian Stewart (gets nod over Gordon due to more experience)
SS: Brandon Wood
OF: Delmon Young
OF: Lastings Milledge
OF: Joel Guzman (I'm assuming this is his longterm projection)
DH: Billy Butler
SP: Phillip Hughes
SP: Jeremy Sowers
SP: Nick Adenhart
SP: Joel Zumaya
SP: Chad Billingsley
CL: J. Brent Cox

Harder than you think....

The one constant through all the years has been baseball. It's been erased like a blackboard, rebuilt, and erased again...This field, this game, is a part of our past. It reminds us of all that once was good, and that could be again.

Not a bad list. Here's mine:

C: Jarrod Saltalamacchia
1B: Daric Barton
2B: Howie Kendrick
3B: Alex Gordon
SS: Brandon Wood
OF: Delmon Young
OF: Lastings Milledge
OF: Felix Pie
DH: Billy Butler
SP: Jon Lester (I'm a Homer)
SP: Jeremy Sowers
SP: Cesar Carrillo (4-0, 3.23 ERA, 35/7 K/BB) - Maybe it's too early for this guy but it's a name to watch out for
SP: Yusmeiro Petit
SP: Chad Billingsley
CL: J. Brent Cox

Just remembered....Hansen was up for a brief cup of coffee this year.....I'll change my closer pick to J. Brent Cox

Fun fun fun...

C: Jarrod Saltalamacchia
1B: Daric Barton
2B: Howie Kendrick
3B: Alex Gordon...rather close with Ian Stewart. For fantasy purposes, I think Stewart with Coors will be better, but if this is just a dream team, I'll agree with Gordon.
SS: Brandon Wood...pretty deep position with Stephen Drew and Hanley here, too. Wood might have to move to 3B, as well.
OF: Delmon Young
OF: Lastings Milledge
OF: Cameron Maybin...gut feeling that he's going to make it big. Really big.
DH: Billy Butler...well if we can just select any additional player, I'd probably go with Hanley Ramirez...but for DH purposes, yes, Butler.
SP: Chad Billingsley
SP: Phil Hughes
SP: Justin Verlander
SP: Adam Miller
SP: Jeff Niemann
CL: Craig Hansen

C - Jeff Clement - I think we'll find his ceiling is higher than Salty's this coming season
1B - Daric Barton
2B - Kendrick
3B - Stewart - Coors gives him the edge
SS - Wood
OF - Delmon
OF - Milledge - My only want if we have to trade Manny is to get him in return
OF - Quentin
DH - Butler

SP - Hamels - I haven't lost faith....yet
SP - Lester - If we lock up Beckett our rotation in 2007 could be dirty
SP - Billingsley
SP - Petit
SP - Adam Miller - did you all forget?
CL - Cox

nope watched him pitch probably 5 or 6 times in 2005 just like I did in 2004, and the thing that worries me is the lost velocity, as he was down 7 or 8 mph in 2005 compared to 2004. I hope it was more from the injury in early 2005 then anything, but he has definitely fallen down my lists due to it.
