Hi all, I'm in a franchise league and a team is offering McPhearson as part of a trade. The trade offer is:
McPhearson and Ben Molina for Jonny Gomes, Toby Hall, and Alex S. Gonzalez
I would like this trade if McPhearson's healthy. Has anyone read anything about how he's doing with his back problem? Is he projected to be the starting 3rd Baseman?
Thanks,
Dan the Bluesman

I wouldn't touch Macpherson this year with a ten foot pole. He could have move K's than Johann Santana. Thats assuming he stays healthy. Yeah the guy can hit monster shots. But who needs another Rob Deer.Until he proves he can stay healthy and play at least 150 games . He could be another Brandon Phillips. An AAAA player. If you can pull that trade off you are a miracle man.

I have McPherson in an AL Only league, salary cap 75 bucks, and Dallas is only 2.00 on my roster.
I've been following his progress and all I have is that he had back surgery and recovering nicely. The problem is he may not have a job when he returns. Chone Figgins may be their everyday 3Bman next year.
Is your league AL only or mixed? If AL only, Molina is rumored to be heading to the Mets REALLY soon so you may not want to do that deal. Plus, I'd keep Gomes, he is a solid stud.
