Here's a stat breakdown of all the positions in a standard 12 team 5x5 MLB league. (9P/14H-2C/5OF/1U/1CI/1MI) I believe it's based upon the average stats that might be expected of the 'last starter' at each position. I'm not sure if this is what you're needing?
SP: 12.7W / 0.1SV / 3.77ERA / 1.26WHIP / 133K
RP: 3.9W / 25.5SV / 3.11ERA / 1.20WHIP / 60.1K
Ca: 0.254 / 9.8HR / 51.6RBI / 0.9SB / 46.2Run
1B: 0.274 / 22.9HR / 85.4RBI / 3.8SB / 77.1Run
2B: 0.268 / 10.3HR / 57.6RBI / 13.1SB / 76.7Run
3B: 0.270 / 18.2HR / 77.5RBI / 6.4SB / 74.8Run
SS: 0.268 / 13.4HR / 66RBI / 12.5SB / 80.3Run
OF: 0.270 / 20.2HR / 78RBI / 11.7SB / 81.8Run

Go to ESPN and run their team stats by position. Order the stats from top to bottom and find the team(s) in the middle. That gives you the median number, which is just as good (in fact sometimes better) than the median as a measure of central tendency.
