I didn't hear the interview but on a Mets site they were talking about Randolph's interview on the Fan. He was saying that he doesn't see Beltran as a number 2 hitter. Did anyone hear the interview? That pisses me off, lol.
Reyes - Beltran - Wright - Delgado - Floyd
Doesn't that seem perfect? C'mon, Willie.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey

Maybe he wants to bat Beltran 1st so the Mets won't have a leadoff hitter with an OBP under .300.
Reyes had a .300 OBA last year. It will improve this year. I think the strikeout ratio is a good indication of this. If Randolph was willing to bat Beltran lead-off that wouldn't be such a bad thing. At least he'd be moving in the right direction. Still Reyes-Beltran-Wright would be deadly.
DWright5, we probably will end up with Lo Duca in the 2-hole but I am holding on to the hope that it doesn't happen.

So the Mets have 3 good Catchers ? Ramon Hernandez, Paul Lo Duca, and Bengie Molina. Isn't that like a waste of talent on the bench or will 1 of them play a different position ?
