Your team to win one game

Postby moose32 » Sat Nov 26, 2005 1:31 pm

If you could pick a team to win one game what would your lineup be? Assume everyone's healthy

RF-Ichiro
SS-Jeter
1B-Pujols
DH-Ortiz
LF-Bonds
2B-Kent
C-Varitek
3B-Wright Replaced Rolen, think Wright would be better in the clutch
CF-Edmonds

SP-Schllling
Cl-Rivera

Boo cheaters putting Arod at SS, I wouldn't want him there if I had to win one game right now. the guy hasn't played SS in a bit..

SS Jeter
3B Arod
1B Albert Pujols
OF Manny Ramirez
OF Vladimir Guerrero
OF Miguel Cabrera
2B Marcus Giles
C Mike Matheny (With this line-up, I'll take a defensive catcher)

SP Roger Clemens
SP Johan Santana (I'll have each go 3 innings)

RP: Billy Wagner
RP: Brad Lidge
RP: Joe Nathan
RP: Huston Street
CL: Mariano
...Boston papers now and then suffer a sharp flurry of arithmetic on this score; indeed, for Williams to have distributed all his hits so they did nobody else any good would constitute a feat of placement unparalleled in the annals of selfishness. -Updike

what? Me? Cheater?

Come on, there are more depth(hitting wise) in 3B and ARod is a better defender at SS than 1)Jeter 2)When he's at 3B

Boo what? O:-)

The Ichiro trend just amazes me. His OBP was terrible this season. Crawford and Figgins too.

Derek Jeter beat all of those guys by 40 points as a lead off hitter. He's simply the best in the game right now.

I'll take this:

SS Jeter
CF Bay
1B Pujols
DH Ortiz
3B Rodriguez- played his best baseball hitting 5th
LF Cabrera
RF Vlad
C V-Mart
2B Figgins- probably a bad pick, but I like the speed at 9 (Kent otherwise)

SP Halladay
SU Randy Johnson
CL Mr. Automatic, the greatest postseason pitcher ever

Cheater? Check the mirror ;-) In real baseball, you need a Center Fielder, not 3 corner OF's. :-b
