D. Lee or T. Hafner?

If I had to pick one or the other with one pick. It would be Derek Lee.

I agree completely with Yoda here. I think that DLee won't come close to last year and Hafner will have better numbers overall anyways. I also think that you can get Hafner a couple of rounds later so he is much better value. the only thing that I don't like is his Util only eligibilty in some leagues.

I think Lee will put up better numbers but Hafner can be had later and will be the better value pick IMO.

No way Lee should go "near first round". His 2005 season was way out of norm for him. I'm taking Hafner in 2006.

Doesn't really matter with either of these guys. In my league neither would make it out of the 3rd round. I really doubt that people will sleep on Hafner anymore because his OPS has hovered around 1.000 for the last 2 seasons and he has a lot of young studs on that team. Come on guys we all know that every magizine and website in the world will tout Hafner as some kid of sleeper who no one realizes puts up great numbers (here at the cafe no otherwise). Anyway, what Lee did last year was amazing. Maybe I'm a hater because one of best friends (and rivals ) had him but I don't see his avg staying that high again. I personally will go with Hafner because I like his patience and his lineup more than Lee's.

Two things to remember:
- Drafting Hafner gives you very little flexibility for the rest of the draft.
- Because Hafner walks so much, misses time during interleague play, and has nagging injuries, his .AVG won't help as much in a roto league as players you'd draft around the same time as him.

I won't be seen drafting either of them this year.

I'd take Lee (like someone said already) due to his stolen base edge, but considering where they're going to be drafted I'd probably rather have Hafner later.

Exactly how I feel. I probably won't get Lee next year because he'll go too high. But given the choice of the two I'd take Lee.
