That Beckett trade wasn't all that good for the Sox

i wasnt saying either of those were good or bad just that they were big deals that at 1st in rumors got surprise reactions cause of the names

im not jazzed about taking on lowell but could be worse people to be "stuck" with! gold glove 3rd baseman just had a bad year last year on offense..signing mueller and burnett, for example, may have cost more than taking lowell and beckett with becketts younger age and contract situation where the other 2 are free agents..and sure there is risk with beckett..some people are giving them the 2006 title over this beckett deal..i think thats a little wonky

Ummm... TBH, those rumors were at least believable.

This rumored trade is like a one sided fantasy deal between the last place n00b and the 1st place expert.

like how karabell said if you saw the delgado deal in your fantasy league you would quit that league?

i tried to say in the 1st post shouldnt be a ton of stock in it but to just dismiss the deal because of the names seems just as bad as believing it to be true IMO not trying to pick a fight just trying to say that

It honestly wasn't that surprising when Beckett, Delgado and Thome were traded. It isn't even surprising that Manny or Zito are involved in rumors.

What is surprising is how obviously one-sided this trade is. The Red Sox are jobbing everyone.
