Anyone heard anything about this? Was getting into the car and hear on ESPN radio this afternoon that I deal is close to being completed that will send Thome to the White Sox. Did not hear who the Phillies would get in return.
Anyone?

On ESPN, it says Aaron Rowand in return.
Would this benefit Rowand in any way? *fantasy-wise*

yep the deal is done. rowand for thome. rowand has been good it's just he goes through cold spells that last a month or more. if he can become sonsistant he could do very well for the phils.

Ya just heard it when i got home.
Phillies Give:
Thome
12 million
White Sox give:
Rowand
This deal should increase the fantasy value of
Howard
Thome
Anderson( new chicago center fielder)
Decreases:
Rowand
Konerko

The Associated Press story says $22 million. I don't really see how this decreases Konerko. The only way that would happen is if his playing time also decreased, but that obviously won't happen.

this in no way decreases knoerko's value if he stays with the sox. the only way it could possiblyaffect him is is if they bat thome in front of konerko and i don't see that happening.
