I was touting this guy as underrated during 05 but now it seems he is way overrated.

That is way too much money for Konerko but the ChiSox desperately need to bring him back, LAA has shown interested and Boston has shown interest.

The ChiSox need to resign him. He may not be worth that money but he will get it.

I don't understand why LAA would be interested. THey have a ton of 1B/DH guys, Erstad, Kotchman, Morales to name a few...

Got me. They could use another hitter and the new owner likes to spend money. Erstad isn't the option though.

Kotchman could be the 1B, though. I guess they realized the McPherson experiment was a disaster and they don't want to make the same mistake on the other corner infield spot.

I wouldn't call McPherson an experiment or a disaster. He was just injured.

well i just heard (dan patrick show) we are close to shipping rowand to the phils for thome. could be a small bargaining chip to get konerko for a little less money. i still want to resign him of course but it will be interesting to see how things shape up with this deal going down.
