ESPN's '06 Projections on Beckett on Boston

Postby Copperheads » Tue Nov 22, 2005 6:47 pm

On their site they are already projecting Beckett's numbers for next year.

GM's-29 / W-15 / L-8 / BB-58 / K's-166 / ERA-3.38

Seems simliar to a little worse than his Florida's numbers. Thoughts?

I see his ERA being upper 3's or low 4's other than that the numbers seem about right.

I would say those a generally optimistic given a league switch and his injury history.

I agree with the majority here, that ERA looks ridiculously low to me.

I must say, I'm a little proud of myself for being this big of a stat-nerd. As a Beckett owner last season, I recognized those right away.

Those are his stats from the 2005 season ;-D
Let's go O's. Let's go Mets.

That sounds about right to me. Maybe a couple more wins.=, since he is playing for the offense-oriented Red Sox.

I think you hit the era about right but I believe he will get a few more wins.

There will come a day when Barry Bonds leaves baseball, and everything about the game will be the better for it.
