I don't think he'll go to Cleveland because they don't have the money to spend. Baltimore looks like a good possibility though (why wouldn't they just retain Ryan for less money )
Why wouldn't anyone just sign Ryan for less money? Given their age and the money/years they want Wagner and Hoffman are going to be very bad values. I much rather spend less on Ryan and use the extra cash elsewhere.
I would say Hoffman is pricing himself out of San Diego. If I were a GM, I wouldn't be willing to give a large contract to 38 year old, with a declining K/9, who will throw 50-60 innings. Like Pogo said, I would rather have BJ Ryan who has more K's, is younger, will probably be cheaper, but has less of the magic closer dust.
