i don't really see that getting koskie and rodney for crede really puts you ahead. I think you should be going the other route and packaging crded plus, say, rivera for a much better 3B option e.g. blalock, hillenbrand, mora etc.

Final question: do you have a minor league roster? Because if you do, this is a good way of building a player pool.

Why the heck trade your only real closer for hillenbrand?

I like your team overall, but you have some questions about your fitire with an aging Bonds, Sheff, Smoltz and Rivera...

I'd try to unload Bonds if i could, i just don't think he's gonna put up 22 mil of production...He has the potential too, but i'd be afraid of him breaking down.

only thing is in a league like this an avg Bonds yr will be equivalent to what some of the FA players will get. Guranteed players like Konerko, Furcal, Ryan and Wagner will all fetch 18+ million contracts

This league includes holds which gives an increased importance to middle relievers. In fact a good MR is equal to a good closer and usually significantly cheaper. In fact 1 or 2 very good MR are probably better than a mediocre SP unless you have a minimum IP requirement.

MR: Linebrink, Shields, Politte, Gordon (in 2005 anyway), Eure (expensive now) and Rincon to name just a few.
