When do baseball tickets go onsale?

I am just wondering when tickets g on sale..hoping before christmas so I can give them to someone for a Christmas prensent. Does anyone have a general idea when MLB does this or is this up to the individual team to put out a date for tickets?

I think its up to the teams. I know that single game Cubs tickets usually go on sale in late February. That day has become a regular holiday for me as I sit like a crazed lunatic at my computer for several hours trying to snag tix.

I just got an email about Ranger's season tickets, so it seems they are starting rather early this year.
