anyone know if the rangers might continue to shop blalock for pitching?
Certainly possible but I think they mssed the one guy they wanted in Beckett, if indeed the deal with Boston is finished.
Beckett was a local kid and would have been a good draw, not to mention he would be the ace they soreley need.
Maybe they go after Vazquez?

All kidding aside, I think Texas would go after Burnett...
Yes, I was, uh... I was thinking about ordering the tape, the videotape... about the college girls and the... the wild... the wildness. They're going wild or something? Somebody told me... about going wild.

Yeah traded Delmon Young for Blalock last year in hopes of building my infield around him and Teixiera in my AL keeper league.
What a scare! I hope he hits the cages all offseason and irons out those hitches in his swing. C'mon Hammer- figure out those lefties and consider hitting on the road for me in 2006!

It's possible, but it would have to be a solid trade for the Rangers, meaning a name pitcher. We've got no reason to move Blalock. He's young, can hit (better figure it out soon though!), has a decent contract, etc. We'd have to get a solid starter in return to move him, but it's certainly possible.

It's still better for his fantasy value than going to TX.

I've always been surprised the Rangers haven't gone after Kerry Wood. He's a Texas guy, isn't he? Blalock would be too steep (and wouldn't make sense for the Cubs, anyway), but now would be the time to try and pick up Wood on the cheap.

Schilling did pretty good his first year in the AL East. Clement was great until he got drilled by a line drive off the head. Power pitchers can adjust easier than finesse pitchers (Pavano).

We have tried. Rumors always float around here about Kerry. Just never been able to land him, and with his injury history, it's starting to look like a good thing we never were able to get him.
