Celebrity contestant Jason Bay of the Pittsburgh Pirates entered the competition but unfortunately failed to consume a single hamburger. Bay was seen milling about the condiment table and asking where he could find the Grey Poupon. When asked about his dismal failure Bay responded that "it was an honour just to participate in such a prestigeous event".

Bobby Abreu also participated and managed to eat an unprecedented 58 hamburgers. Unfortunately he couldn't eat anything else for a couple months following.

Not a surprise that he won, but surprising that some dude actually kept up with him. He ended up eating 67 hamburgers in 8 minutes.

The story says that he had finished 60 with 37 seconds left...which means he ate 7 hamburgers in that time...

Those burgers can't be normal sized...I don't know what a Krystals burger looks like, but I assume they are like the dinky White Castle ones (not that we have any of those around Mercer either...).

Kobe kind of looked like he was fatter...could have been the amount of clothes he had on, but he didn't look the same as normal.
