McDonald cannot hit at all, that's why I don't think he'll ever get to start full-time.

Towers was outrighted to Triple A and Adams was optioned down there. I don't think we have seen the last of Russ Adams I think he'll be back later this year he's just going there to imrpove and clear his mind but I don't know if i could say the same for Towers have the Toronto Blue Jays seen the last of Josh Towers or does anyone think he will be back

It looks like Towers will be back after all John Gibbons said that both of those guys mean alot to the club and that they are gonna be back before the season is over.

It appears Adams will be playing second base

heres the article

That could mean September for both of them, though. Keep that in mind.

Also, what are the Jays planning to do in their SS position? They can't just throw out McDonald and Figueroa(who's been suggested as the likely replacement for Adams) there. That's like sending 2 pitchers to the plate. :-b

No there has to be something up. The Jays wouldn't make a move like dropping Adams down to AAA, and moving him to second base, if a move wasn't on the way. I wouldn't be surprised to see the acquisition of a SS/2B within the next few days. There had to be a reason why JP didn't go on his show tonight, Wilner did say he was busy. I was also told that JP went on OTR, and said in Jays fans would be much better off buying Kennedy Jays jerseys than Barry Zito Jays Jerseys. Could that be a hint at what's to come? :-?

Thanks for the update. ;-D

I agree that something is up. We won't leave McDonald starting the rest of the year if we're serious about a playoff spot. He can't hit. Like weir said, I expect something to happen in the near future because McDonald isn't the answer to our problem.

I don't really like Kennedy that much and if JP wants to go get Kennedy I just hope he doesn't trade hillenbrand for him i think thats way to much.

I also heard talk that they are interested in Vidro i know that this is most likely a rumour but it does make a bit of sense because if we were to land Vidro the Nats would most likely bring back Soriano to his natural position at second base because ive heard that Soriano is still unhappy in the outfield and would rather be playing in the INF

Per rotoworld:

Edgardo Alfonzo is close to signing a minor league contract with the Blue Jays.
It can't hurt to have Alfonzo stashed away in Triple-A, but he's not the option at second base that he once was, and unless he surprises on defense, he should prove to be useless to the Blue Jays. May. 25 - 1:24

EDIT: Looks like it's final...he'll be assigned to AA
