You may be right about his being tested often, but I never heard any announcement to that effect. The MLB rules only require testing once a year and additional testing randomly. I heard nothing about his results, nor those of Bonds, Sosa, etc.

Bonds was tested multiple times last year (as were sosa and giambi I believe) and was clean on all of them. If you really think that guys like that are stupid enough to continue taking roids when everyone is out to get them for them then I really don't know what to say.
All I'm saying with these guys is that if their performance has been enhanced by steroids and they can't come up to that level without them, then what have they got to lose? And someone last year was caught with a "kit" that would allow them to cheat to pass the drug test. Who knows for sure whether this may be going on too?

That's pretty much my view. I'd have him putting up decent numbers like those, but in quite a streaky way.

Just throwing this out there...didn't I hear suspicion some time about Giambi and HGH, something that isn't tested for by MLB? Or couldn't he get steriods that are ahead of the testing curve?
I'm not saying he is on them or not, because that's just going to turn this into every other steriods thread around here. But just because someone either gt caught or used them in the past doesn't mean they couldn't be "that stupid" to try it again. Maybe they're just doing it more carefully. I mean, you gotta think that there's some kinds of new steroids out there that aren't detectable yet, right? Maybe that's why we haven't heard of them.
More along my thoughts....but even a monkey could get more than 60 RBIs given the playing time in the NY lineup. I'd bump that number to 80-85 and then stick with that.
