Fantasy baseball has been around for about 22-23 years. So, for the period of let's say 1985 until the present, who are your all time favorite fantasy players by position (any 3 OF is ok) based on the prime time of thier career (over a year or two period). Use three starters and two relievers.
Mine are:
OF: Bonds, Rickey Henderson & Eric Davis
1B: McGuire
2b: Soriano
SS: Garciaparra
3b: ARod
C: Piazza
SP: Maddux Johnson, Clemmens
RP Eckersley Thigpen

Man, some people are really overlooking Sosa's 2001. Sure, he struck out over 100 times, but he walked more than 100 times, had a .320 AVG, hit 60+ homers and had a whopping 160(!) RBI.
Are the things that are happening to the real life Sosa effecting people's decision? I only bring it up because even though he didn't steal that year...that's an impressive year.

Sosa was definitely on the cusp for me.
I went with Manny's 1999: .333 44hrs 165rbis...Sosa's 2001 was probably stronger, but you can't go wrong with this season either.
I also liked Rickey's 1988 with 90 something SB's or 1982 if we could use it where he swiped 130!
