Ed Coleman continues to report that Pelfrey will make his major league debut Thursday so what do I know?
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Pelfrey was pulled from his start today after 2/3 of an inning. He did have 2 BB and 2 unearned runs so he wasn't pitching great. But he would have been out of the inning if it hadn't been for the error so he wasn't yanked due to poor pitching. Interesting...

he REALLY turned it around since his promotion. he started off with two shaky starts but has been lights out ever since, great to see that kind of improvement

Pelfrey seems to be figuring out Double-A, turning in three straight impressive outings. He struck out seven and walked one last night. If this keeps up, he'll probably move up to the majors next month.
Last night he pitched 6 IP with 8 Ks and only allowed 1 ER.
