EARLY 2006 PROJECTIONS - top 200 hitters

Postby coleminer » Tue Nov 15, 2005 12:09 pm

I have not spent too much time reviewing. Is anyone else projecting Shelton this high, #30 (over Berkman?)

These predictions are terrible. I hope you didn't pay for them:

Teix under Helton and Young?

Matsui/Jeter/Mora over Soriano?

Geoff Jenkins even on the list?

Wow this list is pretty bad. Soriano 25th? Mix in pitchers and this list is saying he is a 3rd-4th rounder. That's ridiculous.

I took a look at the link.
Here are the projections.
Shelton: 86 R, 24 HR, 90 RBI, .305 BA and 0 SB
B. Giles: 98 R, 21 HR, 90 RBI, .295 BA and 11 SB
And somehow Shelton is worth more?
12 R and 11 SB < 3 HR and 10 points BA?

An explanation about how dollar values were calculated is necessary here. It seems the author is giving much more weight to BA than usual.

BA seems to be heavily weighted.
Also if Berkman hits 1 less HR than last year with 40+ more AB I'll eat my hat. He had 11 HR in September.
