I was victorious.
At one point I had 450 left to his 2550. But I fought my way back.
The big hand:
I had KQ off suit and the board came:
AKJ all spades. He bet and I decided to raise. He reraise but I but him on not having an ace. I had him having one spade. The turn and river were blanks but he kept betting and I decided to call. Before his river bet he asked, "Do you want to pay me off to see my royal?" I said "if I fold will you show me it?" He didn't respond. I called and he turned over just a Jack and I took down the pot.
He played very well. But in the end I triumphed. It didn't hurt that I won like 23 of 25 hands at one point.
No limit hold'em will be next.
As I said in another thread, I expect to sweep the holdem's as they are my trademark, I'm capable of beating him in 7 stud, and then if all that happens Omaha which is his calling card wont be a factor. I was his mentor at one point so this makes it extra fun for us. We'll keep you posted.
