Fence the entire U.S.-Mexican border?

Hey, I'm all for this. Not so much because it will keep immigrants out of the USA, but because it'll keep US citizens in their country.

Globalization is a painful process, but it's going to happen. Borders are disappearing. A billion dollar wall will not stop that from happening. Jobs will continue to be exported to the lowest bidder.

This seems like a tactic to distract the populace from the problems plaguing the country right now. Oil prices are incredibly high and Congress has "investigated." But you're talking about a billion dollar fence.

Yeah, and someone did mention that many, perhaps MOST, of the illegals who enter this country don't hop a fence, or cross where there are no guards... they are smuggled in through trucks or cars. Border patrol can't check every truck, and if they're caught, they're only turned back. They have nothing to lose, so they continually try to get through on the roads. At some point, they'll probably make it.
