Ailmless platitudes may pass for serious discussion on Real Time With Bill Maher, but not here.

Do you actually realize how rude you are? If you do, you might want to work on it, if you don't, you might want to keep out of these threads. :-[

Yeah, too bad no one in this country is even taking biodiesel seriously, except Darryl Hannah.

That's like saying you'd be mad if one modest house was built in the corner of a massive forest preserve, right next to other houses.

be serious man, it's not even close to that. man it'd be a real bad idea to drill there. the ecosystem there is really unique. and it's a reserve for the most dire of emergencies. ok, our gas is way up ($4 by me) it's still not ok to drill. the reserve there wouldn't last more than a few years and that environment would be gone forever. so all those "jobs" would vanish as soon as the reserve dried up. i hope all the tree huggers and environmental groups fight this.

Where do you live? Here in Wisconsin, one of the highest costing states for gasoline due to various enviromental laws, gas is only 2.35. I can't imagine it'd be that high (4.00) where you live.

$2.07 here in OP, KS
$1.93 in Independence, MO

It's going down. I had thought of buying a bicycle to get around when the gas was over $3.00 :-D

Saw $2.08 in northern St. Louis today. I'm looking forward to seeing a 1 at the beginning very soon.
