That's like saying you'd be mad if one modest house was built in the corner of a massive forest preserve, right next to other houses.
be serious man, it's not even close to that. man it'd be a real bad idea to drill there. the ecosystem there is really unique. and it's a reserve for the most dire of emergencies. ok, our gas is way up ($4 by me) it's still not ok to drill. the reserve there wouldn't last more than a few years and that environment would be gone forever. so all those "jobs" would vanish as soon as the reserve dried up. i hope all the tree huggers and environmental groups fight this.
Where do you live? Here in Wisconsin, one of the highest costing states for gasoline due to various enviromental laws, gas is only 2.35. I can't imagine it'd be that high (4.00) where you live.
