I'm not sure why everybody seems to think Molina would be such an upgrade. He's not young; he'll be 32 a couple months into next season and his bat is not as good. Granted he's better defensively but not massively so. Hernandez seems like the more logical choice it they can move Posada and even get themselves into this scenario. Hernandez won't even be 30 at the beginning of the season and has shown himself to be a very capable hitter, probably better than Molina and about the same from a defense standpoint......

A pretty good defensive C? That is fantasy world stuff. He does not call a good game, does not block the plate, frequently is near the top in passed balls, etc. He has NEVER been good defensively even in his prime. He is around for his bat, which has diminished to run of the mill atthe C position. Dealing him would be wise if they could actuallyget something in return. But knowing clueless Brian, he will end up dealing him for Eric Milton.
Zing. Just doing our part to make up for the Pods who won't pay anyone...
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
