Not anywhere in my sig did I say Teahen will be the next Brett. Just sayng he's the next generation of Royal 3B.

I do however believe that Greinke could be as good or better than Saberhagen.

Remember how good Bonder.....oh wait Bonderman hasn't ever been good yet?? Also if/when Bonderman ever does put it together it would be easier to gauge and see it coming with his higher K/9 than what Greinke has. I would love to see Greinke turn into a #2 starter but his fastball is too straight and he doesn't have an electric "out" pitch in his arsenal to be a stud. I see him as a 4th starter and a 3rd as his high end. ......Man I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see it, for him to be at his best he has to live on the corners more than any other #1 or #2 type pitcher has to. Oh and I don't think he has what it takes "up top" to make it as a top end starter.

Man it looks like I can't wait for Greinke to fail and get out of town but I actually like the kid and wish he would be that #1 or 2 pitcher we so desperately need but I can't see it with him!

PWF - Who said you were labeling Teahen as the next Brett? Not me. All I'm saying is that Teahen has a loooong way to go, even to be considered a Generation in KC.

As for Zack/Bonderman: Greinke definitely has the stuff to rebound a la Bonderman. We can only hope he has the "stuff" between his ears to make that kind of rebound. The Saberhagen talk is a pipe dream. Greinke hasn't shown that he can handle 200+ innings...or win 10 games (much less 20)...or keep his ERA anywhere near Sabes' levels. I think just as easily as we could be praising the guy at this time next year, we could be wondering why we didn't trade the kid for proven talent while he still had value.

Sorry guys, I just can't be a heavy Kool-Aid drinker like PWF and Paul. I want it all to work and this team to get back to .500 or beyond, but grabbing for maybes is what got us into this mess in the first place.
