Yeah I think so, there's a math teacher at my school who has the same name and she pronounces it like that. It'd be pretty interesting if she got the job though.

An article I saw online said this, as well, although it's probably different depending on the dialect. (My dad's voice nagging me for not learning Chinese when I was younger rings in my head.)
