The Sox bought out the big hurt. See ya Frankie. At least you got the ring :-t

Any thoughts on who would want him? I'd say AL only as a DH.

Uh, the White Sox are still trying to resign him, as a free agent. They just don't want to pay as much as they used to with the injuries and all. Can't blame em.
Bold Predictions:

Grady Sizemore will have more value than Jason Bay regardless of draft position

Aramis Ramirez in 155 G will hit over .300 40 HR 110 RBIs

Brian McCann will have more value than Jorge Posada regardless of draft position

This could be a guy the Jays might want to take a shot at, especially if the price is low enough, and they get confirmation that he's healthy going into next season..

Though of course, you can never be sure of health with the "Big Hurt." :-o

Not sure what he is asking for but he could be a good 1 year gamble for an AL team.

Agreed. He won't get a multiyear deal, but a team needing a DH should give him a look.

I agree as well....not a bad option for several AL teams out there... :-?

But like Iconoclastic said....most likely he goes back to the Sox at a reduced price... :-)

Thomas is gonna have a few suitors I would say. Oakland would love to have him, but I doubt that they would sign him to anything more than a 1 or even two year deal.

You watch. My idiot Rangers will get him and we'll be stuck with no pitching yet again next year! :~( :~( :~(

It seems like there would be a couple of AL teams that would be interested. Maybe the Angels/M's/Oakland would sign him to a one year deal?
