Saw these this morning over at ESPN.com. I usually pretty much agree with their Power Rankings, but, my jaw hit the floor on this one. The Indians?!?! Yeah, they're a great up and coming team, and I think they're gonna push the Sox hard in '06, but to put them ahead of teams like the Yankees, Sox, Sox, and Cardinals? Wow.
Chances are Millwood is gone the bullpen will be a lot weaker.
Don't the Yankees have money to spend in the off-season and everyone coming back except Gordan?
man did i need a good laugh like that in the morning. i love how the athletics are already projected to beat the angels for the division crown. man indians winning the world series already huh? they didnt make the playoffs this year but they're going all the way. yup. lets throw in the rangers and the indians in the ALCS.

I think ESPN is dumb like a fox. You are doing exactly what they want you to do ... talk about what they produce. I'm convinced half of the stuff they do is just to creat controversy and have people like us just give them more publicity.

The thing about crazy predictions is if you're right, you look like a genius, but if you're wrong no one really blames you because, hey, they were crazy predictions. Some of those things may happen, a lot depends on this offseason. Maybe it won't be looking as crazy come ST?

I agree, these are a bit too outlandish to not be bold predictions.
Other than being something to discuss and argue over this really just sets the stage for ESPN to make the Indians their World Series pick. I know these are projections but i think that the White Sox definitely deserve to be at the top considering what they did in the playoffs and througout the year, all they need to do is sign Konerko back and they are the same team going into next year.
Also I would bump the Diamondbacks down a good number of slots 17 is too high IMO.
