I'm thinking about throwing my next poker game.

I've won four out of the last five times, and the 5th time I came in 2nd. Alot of the other casual players are complaining and I'm worried that they might not play a game for awhile. My logic: I lose and they win = they are happy. I know I can beat them so throwing a game wont hurt too bad. I can go all in on a 'bluff' and lose all my chips to the worst player and have them win.

Am I crazy? All we play with his a $5 buy in and a $30-$40 pot. I've made over $100 in the last 3 weeks just on poker alone, so a weekend without winning is ok with me.

Throw them a bone. If you are just playing to hang out and have some fun and you are obviously that much better than the rest someone will get sick of handing over their money week after week.

But then again who isn't willing to lose five bucks to hang out and play cards for a night.

I don't like the idea of throwing a game, but if you really get the sense that they're going to stop playing with you, then you might just want to change your style. Maybe play real loose, but don't actually throw the game. As they say ... even a blind squirrel finds a nut every now and then...

I wouldn't throw it persay - if they figured it out, you definitely wouldn't be invited back, and you might even lose a friend or two.

Throw the game once. Let your friends clean you out. And then win it back the next couple weeks.
