What will the Twins OF look like next April?

Postby legoshoe » Thu Nov 03, 2005 5:22 pm

Who thinks Hunter will stick around? I certainly think he'll be back this year. Jones I think is gone which is unfortunate because he's really a big part of this team (plus he's been my favorite). It really couldn't hurt that much to resign Jones, how much could he demand in free agency realisticly?

I know we need a big bat but it is WAY to early to speculate who we could get off the market, if anyone. Could Koskie come back? I think it'd be smart if he proves he can stay healthy.

Where are you Twins fans!?!?! Nearly 2 months without a post!

Not many Twins fans come to use this board. They're all on the ESPN board...

Well, just finding the FFB board, I'm sure I'll stick around here since Baseball is my number 1 sport.

As of what I think the Twin's will be, I don't know if I'm totally locked on Hunter coming back. From what little I've heard about the situation, he doesn't really want to go through the rebuilding again and with the lack of movement that happened this year, Ryan may be looking for other things. It'll probably be a whole different look than what we've been accustomed too.

I expect it to be:

LF: S. Stewart
CF: T. Hunter
RF: Ford/Kubel (one will DH)

I think that if Kubel's feeling fine after last year's injury, he'll probably play the field more than Lew.

I know JJones and Torii are friends, and JJones led the team in HR...but I still say the Cubs got suckered. He should only play half of the time, which means they way overpaid to make up for not getting Nomar or Furcal.

I am guessing the outfield will be Hunter, Ford, and Stewart. White will DH. Hunter will stick around until the trading deadline, at which point we will be 15 games behind the ChiSox.
Did you know there are no such things as "white" or "black" people?

So far it's looking like....

C: Mauer
1B: Morneau
2B: Castillo
3B: Batista (?)
LF: Stewart
CF: Hunter
RF: Ford/Cuddyer (?)
DH: White/Ford (?)

I know I would mind seeing a 2004 version of Batista. Not sure that'll happen though. :-o
