Should we expect anything from Patterson next year? I know he has potential, but he was a complete bust this year. What type of numbers will he put up next year?

I don't think he'll ever be productive with the Cubs. He needs a new place for a fresh start. If he's with the Cubs, I'd stay away. If goes elsewhere, you never know. The potential is there but for some reason in Chicago, it just won't break through.

I think now is the time to buy some stock in Corey Patterson. He's got a Beltre-before-04 buzz about him: Just a total sense of disappointment.

I wonder if he was hiding an injury this year or if he just lost his confidence. It was weird that he hit pretty well in April and May and then just fell off the map, wasn't it? In any case, I think he's too talented not to take a flier on this year. He'll come cheap in fantasy leagues, that's for certain. So all you'll need to take is a flier in most cases.

Take Wood and all his contract with you and you can have him for that.

Certainly a high upside high risk player to take a chance on in the later rounds. Just two years ago he was a good fantasy player, and he's still young.
Bold Predictions:

Grady Sizemore will have more value than Jason Bay regardless of draft position

Aramis Ramirez in 155 G will hit over .300 40 HR 110 RBIs

Brian McCann will have more value than Jorge Posada regardless of draft position

I'll let someone else take him, he's not worth the risk IMO.

bottom line: he'll be picked before he should, so don't worry about it. This is not to say that he'll do poorly; he may do very well, but the risk/reward will not mesh with where he gets picked.
