More Office Coffee Problems

Postby Coppermine » Thu Nov 03, 2005 12:23 pm

OK, so what's worse...

Taking the rest of the coffee and purposefully not brewing a new pot, OR

Leaving about 6 drops in the pot so that technically they didn't use it all and are exempt from brewing more???

The latter. At least with the former, you can assume somebody was simply absent minded. Gratned, you COULD with the latter also, but that seems like a more conscious thing to do, and has happened to me in the past. I reach in my fridge and only the little nubs at the bottom of my 2 Liter have soda in them, and after a loud "WTF" one of my roomates will say, "What? That's enough for a glass..." :-t

Can't drink caffeine!?

I'm not so sure Coke has enough caffeine in it to make you "bounce off the walls."

Anyway, I agree... leaving the pot completely empty could just be a mistake, but leaving a few drops is a conscious asswipe decision.

the second one is worse. with the first, the person is saying 'i'm a jacka$$, and proud of it.' with the second, the person is a jacka$$, but will pretend not to be a jacka$$ even when it is obvious that they are jacka$$, and in so denying their obvious jacka$$edness they become an even larger jacka$$.

Honestly though Cu, is it really that big of a deal to just make another pot of coffee yourself? It takes about 30 seconds, and since you're making it yourself, you can add double the usual amount of coffee to make it "industrial strength" }:-)

Yes Sim, of course you're right. But then there's this...

Our office has two pots... #1 and #2. #1 is brewed with the regular amoutn of coffee. #2 is the double industrial strength pot.

The problem I have is when BOTH pots have about enough coffee in them together to equal about a half sip of coffee.

But yeah, i usually just suck it up and make a new pot.

Yeah, I wish my work had a coffeepot... we have a Starbucks across the street but it's expensive and there's always a line.

Then again, when I'm exposed to free bottomless cups of coffee I always overdo it... I wind up twacked out on caffeine, grinding my teeth and running to the bathroom every 20 minutes :-D

I work in a small office and there are always people making fresh coffe, even if there is still some in the pot. I've not had to worry about this. Hopefully I won't ever. ;-D
