In my keeper league I think I might try to target him somewhere in the round 15-20 range. In a 10 team league we start 17 guys total and have 7 keepers. I would invest in him as one of my last starters strictly because of his value in the upcoming years. I don't think he'll even be up at the beginning of next year but if he comes up in July I might be willing to play with a 24 man roster instead of the normal 25 because of the spot he'll be taking for the beginning part of the year. I am however the guy that held onto Bonds for the entire year (he did provide 3.5 pts a game for the last month which prorated would have been 5th best among hitters for the year).

a ton of this can change. winter meetings haven't begun. lots of trades and signings can happen at this time.
True. Wait and see where the chips fall.

Even with 10 teams, I dont see him falling past round 16 in a keeper league...unless its one of those "for fun" leagues where no one really has a clue of whats going on.

I understand where you are coming from because I think he's going to be a great player but I can't see going any higher than the 15-20 round range because he hasn't even been in the majors yet. Yes, he is one of the best prospects in baseball but what happens if the DRays decide to keep him in the minors for the year. Then I've wasted a pick high enough that I need to be getting a starters value from him and Young might not even be playing in the league. I'm not saying this is what everyone else will think. The league that I'm in has had really young guys go fairly high but I can't see picking him before the 15th round in a 10 team keeper.

I can see what you are saying in a ten team league, since everyone has studs playing everywhere (only top 10 at every position) and I don't know if Delmon will be worth it in that type of league anyway for another year or so... but I will be keeping a high waiver ranking for when he comes up in my league (we go w/o minors, so we can't draft anyone until they come up in Yahoo which is when they come up in the big leagues)...
