I've seen it many times, but I've never seen that. That's great though. The best part of taking a rough beat is being able to vent it over here. It's great, I told me girlfriend that I took a bad beat, and instead of asking what it was, she immediately went for the thread. (Especially since I have a thread about her computer problems on here)

This one particularly stung because I could taste that secound tourney, and potentially going on to be on TV if I made the final table of that.

Big mistake. In no limit, you play it one hand at a time if you're looking to win it all. There is no second tournament until the final hand is dealt in the current tournament with you holding the winning cards.

It's still a rough beat though.

The guy figured he had a good read on you and put you on A/K, A/Q, A/J and he was right. Unfortunately for you, he flopped two spades which made him 1 in 3 to fill that flush, and depending on the exact bets and pot size, he was getting 3 to 1 on his money by calling and the chance to knock out another player, while greatly improving his chipstack.

Rough way to go out, and had I been him, I'd toss K/5 and not even think about playing it. Unfortunately for you, he was a bit too loose and got a break. Happens.

Let me tell you about bad beats ..

Saturday night at a cash table ..

I had A/K four times and everytime I did someone wanted to test me .. I lost em all ..

I had pocket queens 3 times ... and yes I lost them all, one time to runner 8's

I had pocket A's twice and lost both of them.

I had small pocket pair anynumber of times .. and lost every single time.

The only time I won, was when I had a 2 3 off and was looking to bluff (everybody had seen my great starting hands) and I ended up cacthing a straight to some guys pockets k's .. whew ...

I have never had so many great starting hands in one evening and not collected something ... everything I had got beat, and it was very, very, very expensive ...
