This thread reminds me of many here claiming a certain other closer was done after two games this year....who then went on to the best year of his career.

Lidge has the benefit of being younger and of course, he's a damn good closer; he'll be fine. 5 games or whatever it was doesn't take away everything he's done. You don't see anyone saying Vlad or Rodriguez is done after their postseasons. This is the same thing.

I just read that a closer is 60% ability and 40% attitude. I would make it 50-50.How else to explain Todd Jones and Dusty Hermanson this year?As a matter of fact if you were smart enough to keep an eye on Hermanson(which I wasn't) he got great numbers the last few months of 04 as well.Anyone want to pick Jenks before round 10 this year?
