Building your own definitely has its merits... especially if your into the whole hardware thing (which I am). You can put in the best of everything you want and nothing you don't. One of the biggest reasons people build their own is so they can "stick it to the man" and go with an AMD processor.
It's typically not cheaper to build your own system then to buy a comparable one from Dell, but it definitely leaves you with some satisfaction. Just do me a favor and don't use a Dremel to cut little designs into your computer case.
If you're a battery, you're either working or you're dead....
no no shapes. i do have two pretty cool cases i might get though that are a little flashy. i'll probably go with something basic looking though to save the couple extra bucks.
but this case is so pretty i may not be able to resist

I have, however, heard that Sony and Toshiba have both great support and PC's. And you're going to pay the premium for it. Dell's probably the best deal you can get out there, but if you want to go top of the line, I'd go with Sony or Toshiba. Or, you can be a Geeky McDorkerson and build your own, but that would be totally un-hip.
if the gaming industry would actually support mac it would be huge. until they do i really have no interest. it's hard enough just to get anyone to support an linux platform. but mac's are pretty cool.

I mean their English writing may be better than me but you can't let costumers listen to 20+ minutes of classical music only to get someone who don't SPEAK English.
I feel better.
d--- Dell
Doesn't, even.
Irony Alert!
[sarcasm]Ouch? Maybe I should run my post through MS Word next time before posting? [/sarcasm]
Seriously though, it wouldn't shock me if they can WRITE English better than I can. But you need to SPEAK in Tech support.
