If you are gonna outsource tech-support jobs to India or where-ever they are going. At least find someone who SPEAK ENGLISH. I mean their English writing may be better than me but you can't let costumers listen to 20+ minutes of classical music only to get someone who don't SPEAK English.

I don't think this has as much to do with equal opportunity as outsourcing to save money.

yes dell stinks. pretty much all the troubleshooting of comp's i know now is becasue of the willingness to figure it out myself instead of talking to them.

of course the other two options are ...

A) not offer any technical support at all

B) keep the jobs here, and jack up the prices on their computers so they can pay a union worker 20.00 an hour to sit on the phone.

I am SURE that they can find people who ACTUALLY SPEAK ENGLISH in India.

I was there(in India) 5-6 years ago and all the young people speak english just fine

The sad truth is that many of the barely-english speaking support reps you talk to are right here in the US.
