I have broadband. Everytime I get to a page, it takes forever for the information to load up. Is there something I can do to speed it up? Any suggestions would be nice.

There should be a bunch of info on this. Search for Firefox in the cafe I know someone posted the config stuff

try and get the extention fasterfox. it speeds up everything on firefox.

This worked better. I'm still getting 6 second page load times for the cafe here. Is that normal for broadband?

No, that's not normal... it sounds like there might be something wrong with your connection...

Are you on DSL or Cable?

Do you use a router? Wireless?

There's a number of factors that could be involved.

Also, is it just firefox, or is IE slow too? If it's just firefox, try fasterfox like they mentioned or firetune.

i am getting around 5+ seconds for everything to load on this site. using a dsl connection. cable modem should be faster but kind of depends. if lots of people in your area are online at the same time that can slow things down.

This site gives me problems on and off and I have a Cable modem with Firefox. I think it is just a problem with the site, as most other sites run fine. It doesn't all that often though.

Remember, Cable can be affected by other user's while DSL is an independent line and shouldn't be.

In other words, Cable speed can fluctuate, but DSL speed should be constant.

i didnt read the other thread that was posted but i would guess that the long load period is the result of the adds on this site.
