Went to an Electronic Boutique this weekend to pick up a PS2 and they sell used ones that are about 40 dollars cheaper than a new one. However they only had these slim ones. Im used to the old kind but I say whatever. Take it home and try to get working, everything is hooked up and set to go but when I push the reset/power button it goes to green for one second then back to red.

Am I now operating this thing correctly or is there something wrong with the machine that requires me to take it back?

First of all, the slim kind is the newer models so you're probably better off with one of those.

Second of all, they probably sold you a broken one. Go down to EB and kick some ass!

Bring it back and tell them to get it working. Did you try different CD's?

Yeah tried a couple of CD's, wouldnt even start running. Thing is the place is an hour drive from me. Guess I'll have to do it.

The slim ones are better because they have a built in network adapter. The ones you need to spend $30 to get it if you want to play online.

Your PC will never know the likes of Gran Turismo 4, which is why I have both. (well, the PS2 isn't exactly mine per se, but the GT4 is...)
