Hey come on now, this is Cashman we are talking about. The man that always compounds one bad move with an even worse one.
I can see the Pavano, Melky Cabrera and lots of cash for Gimpy and Milton deal forming in his mind already. He wanted Milton last year and the only reason he is not in Pinstripes is that the Reds offered more. I am sure CLueless will find a way to get the man he wants.

I don't know why some of you like Pavano so much? Reminds me alot of Chan Ho Park and Ismail Valdes. Put up good numbers in their pitchers haven parks, but got shelled once out of it.
Pavono's era at Dolphins Stadium 3.41
Anywhere else 4.45
Career era+ of 100 (exactly neutral)
Only thrown 140 innings twice
He's ok, a middle of the road guy, but NY would have to pay a ton of his salary, for any team to even think of him. I say to other teams, let NY be forced to keep him. If he has a sub 4 era season, i will be surprised.
