nah the yankees already have enough power in that lineup. they need people that can get on base in front of the sluggers. plus their top talent is going to be their future first baseman, Eric Duncan. if giambi doesnt pan out, duncan will get a shot before any 1b FAs are signed.

LOL

Duncan's last two years in the minors:

2004 A Tampa - 51 G, 173 AB, 4 HR, 26 RBI, .254/.366/.462.828

2004 A Battle Creek - 78 G, 288 AB, 12 HR, 57 RBI, .260/.351/.479/830

2005 AA Trenton 126 G, 451 AB, 19 HR, 61 RBI, .235/.328/.408/.736

I wouldn't call that top talent... Good luck with Duncan being the "future" at first base ;-D

I wouldn't really want him at that price. He's 30 now and his splits are pretty drastic.

My apologies. I have a nephew named Anfernee, and I know how mad he gets when I call him Anthony. Almost as mad as I get when I think about the fact that my sister named him Anfernee.

check his AFL numbers? he's been coming into his own lately. a little article he was in. http://mlb.mlb.com/NASApp/mlb/news/arti ... p&c_id=mlb

im not saying he'll be a stud or that he'll be good at all. but the yankees see him as someone they would like to bring up (if they dont trade him :-/ ). i just think you're selling him a little short.

He's a decent prospect, yes, but I don't see him being anywhere near a stud at the ML level.
