considering the teams that are rumored to be interested in him? the mets, red sox, white sox, and angels. he'll get what he wants. mets, red sox, and angels are LOADED and ready to dish out cash and the white sox will get hell if they dont resign him. sooo.. another overpaid ball player.

I think he will get what he wants, or at least close to it ...

the most over payed player this coming season, at least for what they will bring in return, will be Johnny Damon. His agent is Boras and he is going to play the Sox and Yankees against each other like a fiddle. I wouldn't expect Johnny to sign till after the new year.

He's wanted by a lot of teams and there aren't many Konerko-types on the market this year, so he'll get it undoubtably.

Well if my memory's correct, Sexson got $48 million over four years, and that was with an injury risk attached. I would have to think that Konerko would get more than Sexson.

The Yanks would probably like a 40+ HR first baseman, but you have to think they'll stick with Giambi at this point. I could definitely see the Mets going after him hard, although you have to wonder about a homerun hitter going to Shea.

I feel like it would make a lot of sense for him to go to the Blue Jays, who want a power bat and have some extra money to spend. I haven't heard much talk of it though.
